Course Description
This practical course is designed for unpaid carers who want to confidently support the people they care for with eating and drinking. Participants will learn safe feeding techniques, hydration tips, and ways to encourage healthy nutrition while promoting independence. The course also covers recognising swallowing difficulties, adapting meals to individual needs, and preventing common risks such as choking or dehydration. Delivered in a supportive 1-to-1 or small group setting, this training equips carers with the skills and confidence to provide safe, person-centred mealtime support at home.
