Who is eligible?
You must be currently employed in a care setting in Scotland, with support from your manager to undertake the qualification.
Is prior experience required?
Yes. This is a work-based qualification, so you need to be in a relevant role to complete the practice observations and assignments.
How long will it take?
Most learners complete in 6 months, working flexibly around their job via the Learn Assistant e-portfolio.
How will I be assessed?
Through workplace observation, written assignments, and verbal discussions, all supported by a dedicated assessor.
Is funding available
SAAS funding is available for eligible candidates earning £25,000 or less. Flexible payment plans are also available if you don’t qualify.
