The two-day renewal course for existing First Aid at Work certificate holders, refreshing your skills, updating your knowledge, and issuing a new three-year certificate without the need to repeat the full three-day qualification.

How the course runs
Day 1 - Core skills refresher
- Legal responsibilities and reporting upadates
- Situational assessment
- Unreposnive casualty management
- CPR and AED awareness
- Bleeding, shock and choking
- Burns, fractures and spinal injuries
Day 2 - Medical conditions & assessment
- Heart attacks, strokes and epilepsy
- Asthma, diabetes and anaphylaxis
- Head, chest and eye injuries
- Poisoning, strains and bandaging
- Written assessment (unit 2)
- Final practical sign off

Before you arrive
Wear comfortable clothing and suitable footwear, you'll be taking part in practical exercises which may require lying and kneeling down on the floor throughout the day.
Certificate
CTC Certified for 3 years
Assessed through practical demonstrations and knowledge checks throughout the course. Successful completion earns a certificate valid for 3 years, and the training can be recorded as part of your SSSC Continuous Professional Learning (CPL). Renew through further training when your certificate expires.
